Known as "Chotu" by her friends, Neha is a Kerala native who is famous for her 2002 win in the Femina Miss India-Universe competition. She is the daughter of a commander in the Indian Navy, Neha Dhupia came to fame in 2002, when she won the Miss India Universe contest. She then competed in the international Miss Universe competition, placing in the top ten. Since then, she has featured in many Bollywood films, such as Julie, where the world was exposed to her beauty, sky rocketing her to one of the most sought-after actresses in Mumbai. Her other films include Sheesha, Shootout at Lokhandwala and Kyaa Kool Hai Hum. Neha is noted for her diverse films, ranging from the critically praised to the commercially successful. In 2009, she has six films in production, and is in talks for an international show for the channel IFC. |
